Dear Wellington Community,
I have never been more proud to be a Wellington Jaguar as I’ve watched our community come together in new and inspiring ways over the last few weeks. Our tradition of innovation, our agility, and our optimism all shine brightly as we face this unprecedented crisis together.
We are fortunate that Wellington is currently in a strong financial position. The perceptive guidance from our board of trustees and the accomplished leadership from across the community, along with your unmatched confidence and philanthropy, have brought us here. We have done this together. We will pass on the operational savings due to our school building not being in use by offering a one-time credit toward 2020-2021 tuition of $300 per returning student.
Wellington is more than a building, it is a community. Our primary focus beyond educating our students is ensuring our community does not lose a single member as we weather this storm imposed by the economic impact of COVID-19. Now, more than ever, we have to rally together to look out for each other. With unflappable optimism, Wellington is launching a new way our community can support those of us who have been hit especially hard by the economic impact of COVID-19. The Jags Together Fund will offer additional temporary tuition assistance for the 2020-2021 school year for any Wellington family in need. The school has invested a significant amount of additional emergency tuition assistance to get this fund started, but we need your help to meet the anticipated need.
There are two ways you can contribute immediately:
- You can help our community during this time of need by giving directly to the Jags Together Fund by clicking here.
- You can voluntarily donate your $300 per returning student credit to the Jags Together Fund. Tell us if you’d like to keep or donate your credit below.
If you are in the position to do so, I hope you will unite with us by contributing to the Jags Together Fund. I also encourage any family enduring a financial hardship at this time to please seek assistance by applying. We are here for you.
