Founders Day - September 20

Join us for our annual Founders Day celebrations on Friday, September 20, from 5-9 p.m. The vibrant and diverse community that our founders helped establish will come together for fun games and activities for all ages, along with our varsity soccer games at 5 p.m. (girls) and 7:30 p.m. (boys). A special dedication of the Roberts Field Gatehouse Pavilion will also occur between athletic games. Learn more about the full schedule and purchase your $15 activity wristbands (5-7 p.m.) at www.wellington.org/foundersday. The price goes up at the door. 

 
Picture Day - September 12

Upper School Student Council Fall Mum Sale

The Upper School Student Council Fall Mum Sale is here! Funds raised will go towards two priorities: 1) upper school events like prom, dances, and Pinson Day, and 2) a new Club Seed Fund to support student organizations in creating meaningful programs that benefit the Wellington community. Well Life Series Book Club: "Never Enough: When Achievement Culture Becomes Toxic - And What We Can Do About It" - September 30

The Well Life Series is back! Parents and caregivers are invited to this series of special events throughout the year designed just for the adults in our community. Join us for our first event on Monday, September 30, an interactive discussion led by all three division heads on Jennifer Breheny Wallace’s best-selling book about achievement culture. ReWilding Wellington Volunteer Opportunity

Join us on Sunday, September 15, from 9 a.m. to noon, for our ReWilding Wellington project. Joya Elmore P ’36 ’38, Wellington's director of environment-based learning, along with Jodi Kushins P ’29, will be on-site to lead activities. WPA Digital Citizenship Task Force

Join us in discussing shared experiences around digital responsibility and gain resources to help navigate today’s digital world. ¡Hola! Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Join the Hispanic Origin Latin American Parent Affinity Group in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15-October 15. Honor the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Mark your calendars for ¡Hola! Movie Night on Friday, October 4, at 6 p.m. We'll be screening Disney's “Encanto,” a PG film set in the mountains of Colombia. This free, family-friendly event requires adult supervision. Sign-In Procedure with Verkada

Parents, caregivers, and visitors will enter through the main entrance (rotunda) and sign in using Verkada, our new visitor management system. Visitors may sign in using the iPad station or their mobile device. Parents and caregivers are prompted for their phone number, name, and photo. When sign-in is complete, a badge will be printed for you to wear while in the building. Questions? Please contact technology@wellington.org

HomeTown Ticketing for the 2024-25 Season

We’re excited to announce that Wellington Athletics will again use HomeTown Ticketing for all our athletic events this year. As a reminder, Wellington families are welcome to attend home games free of charge. On August 12, you received an email with detailed information about our ticketing platform, including your unique household identification number, which grants access to your year-long family pass. Please note that this household ID number can only be used once. The first person to use the ID should screenshot the Family Pass and share it with other family members attending games. Each Family Pass allows entry for up to four people per event. If you have any questions, contact athletics@wellington.org

 
Fall Sports Update

Upper School: 

Upper School Cross Country:  
The cross country team competed at the Licking Heights Invitational this past weekend! The boys team finished 2nd overall with top 10 finishes from Koen Kwak ’25 (2nd), Atticus Trubilowicz ’27 (7th), Donovan Otcasek ’25 (8th), and Ross Braswell ’25 (9th)! The girls team finished 5th overall with a 4th place finish from Hannah Guffrey ’26! 

Upper School Boys Soccer: 
The upper school boys soccer team is off to a 3-2-1 start with big wins against league rivals Fisher Catholic (3-0), Grove City Christian (4-1), and Harvest Prep (9-0). Come out to Roberts Field this Saturday, at 11 a.m., to watch them take on league rival Bishop Rosecrans! 

Upper School Girls Golf: 
The girls varsity golf team is undefeated in dual matches this season with a 4-0 record! 

Upper School Boys Golf: 
The boys varsity golf team is undefeated in dual matches with a 4-0 record and has placed in the top three in three tournaments/shootouts.  

Upper School Girls Tennis: 
The varsity girls tennis team has won four straight matches, including a nail-biting 3-2 victory over Upper Arlington to bring the team to a 5-1 overall record. Mary Claire Thompson ’26 is currently rated as the number 1 player in the league. 

Middle School:  

Middle School Golf: 
This past Friday, the middle school golf team squeezed out an 182-185 victory over Worthington Christian! 

Middle School Girls Tennis: 
The middle school girls tennis team has started out the season on a roll with a 3-1 record with wins over Bexley, St. Brigid, and St. Andrew. 

Middle School Cross Country: 
The middle school cross country team had an excellent showing at this weekend’s Licking Heights Invitational! Both teams finished 3rd overall, and Ben Austin ’30 and Emma Jane Lumbley ’30 finished first in the boys and girls races, each beating the next closest competitor by over 10 seconds! 

 
Other News:  
On Founders Day, September 20, the varsity girls soccer team will play Cristo Rey at 5 p.m., and the varsity boys soccer team will play St. John’s Jesuit at 7:30 p.m. A special dedication of the Roberts Field Gatehouse Pavilion will also occur between athletic games.
