At the start of the school year, I shared how we’re building a community of ambitious learners who are unafraid of challenges. Now, with the second trimester nearing its end, it’s the perfect time to lean into this idea. I want our students to reengage with school, embrace the hard moments, and realize that they are already equipped to handle more than they imagine.
They’ve demonstrated so much this year — curiosity, grit, and a willingness to grow. Let’s remind them that every challenge is a stepping stone to becoming their best selves. The hard moments are where real growth happens, shaping their future and their character.
I believe in our young people. I see their potential, and I know they can meet this moment. Together, let’s encourage them to handle “hard” better and build the confidence to tackle life’s complexities with ambition and purpose.
The next few months leading up to spring break are jam-packed with opportunities to connect and celebrate our students. I encourage you to come out and support our athletes at basketball, bowling, and swim meets — they love seeing familiar faces in the stands. Don’t miss the fun and excitement of the Athletic Boosters Piada Spaghetti Dinner on February 7, 2025. Meanwhile, auditions are underway for the spring musical, “Little Shop of Horrors.” Whether on the court, in the pool, or onstage, our students are pushing themselves to achieve, and they thrive with your encouragement. In addition, Re-enrollment is set to open on Wednesday, January 22, at noon. Expect to hear more details from Head of School Eliza McLaren soon.
We appreciate all the feedback on the schedule prototypes for the 2025-26 school year. We are now in the final stages of the process. Our goal is to design a schedule that not only supports high-quality learning but also fosters the balance and growth students need to thrive. By allowing for differentiation through challenge and support, we aim to create a schedule where every student can achieve their full potential as learners.
Thank you for continuing to support and inspire them on this journey. Here’s to a year of growth, strength, and resilience.
