Wellington Heritage Festival

Join the DEI Board Committee and WPA as we bring the flags in the Thomas Family Dining Room to life at Wellington's second annual Wellington Heritage Festival on Monday, November 4, from 5:30-7 p.m.

Bring your whole family to experience and celebrate a wide variety of cultures. Travel through stations representing a heritage, culture, or location from around the world. Students will fill their Wellington "passport" as they sample unique cuisines, enjoy cultural dress, and learn fun facts about different destinations.

The entire family will enjoy traveling through the Thomas Family Dining Room to each table "destination." Learn more about a specific country or culture by observing unique clothing, learning fun facts, sampling different foods, and enjoying regalia representing the destination.

Children will gather stickers in their Wellington "passports" as they visit each area. Enjoy fun games, contests, and other activities offered throughout the event.

Special features of the evening include a fashion show highlighting cultural attire, henna art stations, music representative of our destinations, and a trivia game of fun facts.

Each table destination will feature one or more foods to sample. Common allergens will be marked on ingredient lists. Please check with each table host if you have any concerns about a particular offering.

Even if you don't plan to eat at this event, there will be much to see and experience beyond the cuisine. You won't be disappointed!

This event will be in the Thomas Family Dining Room. Parking is available in the front and back parking lots. From the front lot, enter through the Rotunda Main Entrance, and please use the regular security sign-in process until 6 p.m. From the back lot, enter through the East Entrance at the Thomas Family Dining Room, but please plan to check-in and obtain a special ID badge for use while you are in the building. Thank you!

Our table hosts have shared music selections that are representative of their heritage or culture. Enjoy the playlist beyond the event by clicking below!
