Resources for New Families

To help the year begin smoothly, please be sure Wellington receives the following items before the first day of school. All items should be submitted to the appropriate department listed below.

1) Final school records from your child's previous school. Wellington's division office will request these items using your transcript request form that you signed during the admissions process.

2) Any pertinent court-ordered custody/parenting documents or arrangements (if applicable)

3) Copy of your child's birth certificate

  • Little Jags, prekindergarten, and kindergarten - please bring the original (or certified copy) to the early childhood and lower school office to be copied/scanned by the division assistant.
  • Grades 1-12 - a copy provided by you or your child's previous school is acceptable. 

4) Copy of your child's passport, green card, or visa if the student is not a U.S. citizen

5) School nurse's Medical Information Form, including immunization records

6) Complete and return the doctor's Physical Exam Report - Little Jags and prekindergarten students only

7) Athletics forms (grades 6-12) if participating in a fall sport

8) Veracross parent portal updates - AVAILABLE EARLY JULY

School Communications

Transportation

If your child needs transportation to school, there are several local school districts that send a bus to Wellington. View the details here or register for the Wellington-hosted bus route. General Transportation Information by School District (updated Oct 2024).

Get Involved!

There are many opportunities for parents to volunteer at Wellington and support the school in various ways. Learn more about the Wellington Parents Association (WPA).

The Sokol Store

Wellington apparel and other swag are sold in The Sokol Store on campus. Regular hours are limited to the school year (8-8:25 a.m. and 3-4:30 p.m. daily), but you may shop the store online here. Pick up your online purchases in the front entrance rotunda. Summer purchases are fulfilled weekly. Watch for special store hours during Welcome Back events in August.

Pre-Loved Apparel Sale

WPA offers a regular sale on the first Friday of most months with used uniform items available in a variety of sizes and at great prices. Join us also for Welcome Back events in August and a special ski apparel sale offered in December. The pre-loved apparel room may also be accessed during regular Sokol Store hours with checkout payment handled in the Sokol Store.

Note that Wellington dress code items outside of the skirt/skort may be purchased from any vendor/store, provided they fall within school dress code guidelines (see division information below).

Wellington's Beyond the Bell program provides a variety of exciting opportunities for early childhood, lower school, and middle school students during after school hours.

Upper School Non-Compete Form

OHSAA has specific requirements for athletic participation for international students holding an F1 visa sponsored by Wellington. Updated legislature allows international students to participate if they hold an F1 visa AND they fill out this eligibility form and submit to OHSAA prior to the start of their athletic season. New International students planning to participate in athletics at any point in the school year should complete this form before the start of the school year and submit to athletics@wellington.org
