The Wellington Annual Fund

Philanthropy is love with impact

The Wellington Annual Fund

The Wellington Annual Fund fuels the mission of our school - to help students find their purpose and realize their potential for tomorrow’s world. The best way for our annual giving program to assist in achieving this mission is through direct support of people and programs.

Just like we encourage each student to dive deep into what excites them, the Wellington Annual Fund offers opportunities to support what you love through directed giving that powers the school’s mission and supports our highest priorities.

    Wellington Annual Fund 2022-23 Priorities

New this year, a one-time hardship fund will be created to provide support to families facing unexpected difficulty in paying tuition. This fund will ensure that a student’s Wellington experience isn’t interrupted by a family emergency and that they can remain at Wellington.

Give to the Tuition Assistance Fund

Wellington is committed to expanding its efforts to support the current and long-term mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our students. This priority is part of a larger initiative to support well-being and belonging through enhanced counseling and integration with student success programming; creating more access to experts for professional training for faculty and staff and information sharing with the community; and elevating programming opportunities within the classroom. Funds raised through the Annual Fund will support students with new programming in the areas of conflict resolution, peer-to-peer relationships, and anti-bullying; social media impact and mentoring; and anti-harassment and gender equity for upper school students beginning the 2023-24 school year.

Give to the Well-being & Belonging Fund

The renovation of what was in recent history a Pre-K classroom, and lower school music prior to that, will create a dynamic and flexible area intentionally designed to encourage students to create fresh solutions to problems that affect our local and global community; inspire new business ideas; or encourage the creation of a prototype to be fabricated in the Maker Space which will be readily accessible by removing a portion of the wall that currently separates the spaces. This will be the 4th learning space to house Wonderlab, our research and creative works incubator that supports student projects in K-12.

Give to the Innovation Space Fund

We are driven by innovation and are willing to pivot when needed. This priority creates the opportunity to apply funds wherever they are needed most at any given moment which fuels and enriches the Wellington experience and allows us to innovate forward.

Give to the Greatest Needs Fund

    Giving in Action

During the 2021-22 school year, gifts to the annual fund helped us launch new initiatives like composting in the dining room and the Roberts Field Gatehouse Pavilion, provide tuition assistance, and pivot and respond to changing needs as they arose throughout the year.
